Oregon Coast Trail Foundation Board Members
Greg Wolf, President
Greg Wolf is the director of the County Solutions Program at the Association of Oregon Counties. He brings more than 30 years of experience working in state and local government and expertise in collaborative processes.
He has served as the founding Director of Portland State University's National Policy Consensus Center where he created and directed the Oregon Solutions and Oregon Consensus programs. He also served as the Director of Intergovernmental and Regional Solutions in the Governor’s Office. Greg is a native Oregonian and as a graduate of the University of Oregon Honors College.
Christine smith, Secretary/Treasurer
Chrissy Smith is the Executive Director of the Friends of Netarts Bay Watershed Estuary Beach and Sea (WEBS), an organization working to sustain the Netarts Bay area through education and stewardship. Smith holds a master’s degree in science education/free-choice learning and marine resource management from Oregon State University and a B.S. in oceanography and math from the University of South Carolina. She has been living and working in Oregon for ~14 years.
Most recently, she has worked for the Friends of Cape Falcon Marine Reserve, Lower Nehalem Watershed Councils, and Oregon Sea Grant. Her experience also includes various aquariums including the Oregon Coast Aquarium and North Carolina Aquariums as well as other parks and natural areas throughout the state. She is a strong advocate for outdoor learning experience and the power of education to make beneficial change for our environment. She lives in Tillamook and enjoys hiking local trails and beaches with her husband, their two young kids, and their dog, Madrone.
Marcus Hinz, Fund Manager
As executive director of OCVA, Marcus is responsible for meeting the objectives outlined in the Regional Tourism Plan. He continues to build OCVA’s host of business and marketing services for tourism operations, helping people more effectively participate in the tourism economy and align their efforts with state and regional tourism priorities. Marcus is known for his ability to bring people from diverse backgrounds together to meet common goals. This is best exemplified by the annual People’s Coast Summit, which convenes stakeholders from the entire 363-mile long Coast.
Marcus currently lives in Oceanside. When not working, you’ll likely spot him wandering through Oregon’s forests, paddling our coastal estuaries or just staring into a fire at the beach.
Aron Bosworth, Board Member
Aron Bosworth is a content acquisition and marketing manager for onX Maps, where he helps create innovative GPS mapping apps geared towards adventure. Prior to onX, Aron helped start Outdoor Project, where he’s partnered with OCVA to develop resources aimed at improving the Oregon Coast Trail experience—from the creation of detailed hiking guides to enabling web fundraising channels in support of the trail.
Aron lives in Hood River. Outside of work he can be found exploring nature with his two young boys or sliding across water in the Gorge and off the Oregon Coast.
